Why I made it
The East Coast Sour Diesel is known for its cerebral, euphoric, soaring mind effects. The flavor and aroma is the cornerstone of contemporary cannabis. On her own she can run further than a grower wants. The Chemdog 91 stud added vigor and balance to the effect. The result is a more relaxed and focused experience, while the pungent and overpowering diesel aroma and flavor stay intact.
Two cousins, not strangers
Sour Diesel traces back to the same Chem origin as everything else on this site, so this is less an outcross than a line bred back toward its own source. That is why the diesel survives the cross instead of being diluted by it. What the Chemdog side contributes is not flavor. It is vigor and ballast: a steadier plant, and an effect with a floor under it. How she grows
Great lateral branching and a heavy feeding cycle that pays back in resin. Expect Sour Diesel structure: tall, open, plenty of internodal space. Train it or top it before flower, otherwise the stretch goes into height rather than sites. Resin builds steadily rather than all at the end. Carbon filtration is not optional with this one.
On finishing: the pack says 56 to 63 days. I run my keeper cut to 63 to 70 and I do not pull it early. The diesel sharpens late, and a week of patience is the difference between good and what this cut is known for.
