Genetics & Lineage

In the breeder’s own words: “I’m a fan of sativa-dominant hybrids that relax the body while inspiring and waking the mind. Amnesia Lemon checks that box for me.” That is the whole reason this cross exists, not a trend, not a name to trade on, but a mother that does a specific job well. She also carries the sharp lemon that stimulates the taste buds, which is the trait most likely to get lost in a Chem cross and the one worth protecting.

The Chemdog 91 Bx3 is the foundational male behind the Lucky Dog Seed Co backcross project. What is notable here is restraint: this hybrid leaves the Amnesia Lemon’s qualities intact and adds the extra punch you expect from a solid Chem cross, rather than steamrolling the mother the way a heavy stud often does. Lemon on top, gas underneath, neither one buried.

Aroma, Flavor & Terpene Profile

Sharp lemon first, and sharp is the operative word, this is citrus with an edge to it rather than a soft sweetness, the kind that genuinely stimulates the taste buds instead of just reading as pleasant. Underneath sits the Chem gas, giving the profile a floor and keeping the lemon from feeling thin. Bright on top, heavy underneath.

Effects & Experience

Body-relaxing and mind-waking at the same time, which is a harder combination to breed for than it sounds. Most sativas that wake the mind leave the body restless; most hybrids that relax the body dull the head. This one holds both. The breeder’s own recommendation is the most useful description available: great before your morning hike. Daytime genetics, plainly.

Cultivation Insights

These plants will stretch like the mother, plan vertical space accordingly, and consider topping or a net if you are working indoors under a fixed light height. The payoff is icy, resinous nuggets with visible frost coverage, the kind of finish that photographs well and smokes better. Flowering runs 56–63 days (8–9 weeks). Each pack holds 13 regular seeds, real numbers for hunting a lemon-forward keeper of your own out of a line that has already proven it produces one.
