Chemdog 91 SKVA – Clone Only
Notes from Skunk VA
I got this cut in 1995 and I’ve had it ever since.
That’s the whole thing, honestly. People ask me why I’m the guy known for Chemdog 91 and the real answer is that I just kept it around. I didn’t improve it. I didn’t do anything clever to it. I kept it alive through every move and every room and every time it would have been easier to let it go.
Same plant. Never renamed, never diluted.
You’ll hear a lot of stories about this line and some of them are even true. What I can tell you is that what’s in this pot came off the plant I’ve been running since 1995.
What you’re getting
A rooted Chemdog 91 clone taken off the original cut, so there’s no phenotype hunt and nothing to sort through. It’s the same plant every time, which is the entire point of a clone-only line. Expect the skunky, lemony side of the Chem family rather than the rubbery funk her sister Chem D runs.
If you’ve only ever run Chem crosses, this is the one they were all built off. Every Bx in the catalog traces back to this plant, and a lot of what’s been sold as Chemdog over the years traces back to it too, whether or not anybody said so. Running the cut itself is a different thing than running something two or three generations removed from it. That’s not me talking anybody’s cross down. It’s just what a clone-only line is for.
Plant Type: Indica-dominant hybrid
Lineage: Original Chemdog
UPDATE: A fresh limited printing of Backstage Passes have arrived!
In celebration of caring for this legendary clone since 1995…
“As a thank you for your support over the years, every Chemdog Clone order includes a special gift from me. I wanted to make this exclusive drop truly special, so I’m including a limited-edition, hand-signed authentic backstage pass, just for you. This All Access pass is the real deal, featuring a sleek satin finish and a classic sticky back, just like the originals. Each one is individually signed by me and comes beautifully framed, making it a unique collector’s piece you won’t find anywhere else.
Grateful for the journey, excited for what’s ahead!” -skunkVA
Who holds the Chemdog 91 cut
I do. I got it in 1995 and it has never left my hands.
There are other accounts out there. Some say the cut sits somewhere else now. Some say nobody in particular holds it. I am not naming anybody and I am not going to argue about someone else’s garden.
What I can tell you is what is in my room. The plant I took in 1995 is the plant this clone comes off, and I have run it every year since without a break. That is the whole claim. I am not making a bigger one.
How she grows
Flowering time: 63 to 70 days.
She is not a beginner plant. She needs some experience. Everything else in this catalog is built on her, but she is not the one to learn on.
Yield is average. I do not keep this cut for weight. I keep it for what it is.
Effects are the skunky, lemony side of the Chem family, a clear and functional high rather than a heavy one.
Clone only, so there is no pheno hunt. If you want to hunt, the seed packs in the catalog are 13 regular seeds and every one of them traces back to this plant.
Part of the Chemdog 91 line, the original 1991 cut, held by Skunk VA since 1995.
Your clone is guaranteed through transit and a reasonable recovery time. If she doesn't make it, I replace her. Nothing to worry about.
